Earlier this month, the Give It Back Foundation invited Starlings to their camp at Anaheim ASC. The Give It Back Foundation, founded in 2015 by players from the USA Women's National Team, runs camps to "give back" to a charity chosen by one of the players. This camp benefited the Reins Therapeutic Horsemanship Program, a non-profit chosen by current USA setter, Carli Lloyd, and she was joined by several of her USA teammates. Starlings players benefited not only from their coaching, but also their life-lesson segments that featured topics such as: teamwork, leadership, and personal growth.
Several Starlings clubs were represented, including: High Desert, Oceanside, Palmdale, Ridgecrest, Salton Sea, and Southeastern (San Diego). Special Starlings thanks goes out to former national team players Courtney Thompson and Tama Miyashiro for making the camp available to Starlings players.
