Covid Protocol

Hello Starling Families,

We would like to outline the health and safety protocols that the Madison Starlings are utilizing, in accordance with Sports Guidance guidelines from Public Health Madison & Dane County

  • All coaches and players are REQUIRED to wear masks at all times

  • In line with the recent update to the Public Health indoor mass gathering limit, the number of players per practice is limited to no more than 25 (with eating/drinking)

  • Drills/scrimmages/competitions are allowed, with all Covid precautions still in place (masks, distancing, no high-fives, etc.)

  • Hand Sanitizer will be provided at each court, players are expected to sanitize their hands after water breaks

  • If more than one court is in use, physical barriers (curtains, bleachers etc.) will be placed between courts to limit unintentional sharing of equipment (volleyballs) between courts

  • Players are required to 'set up camp' at least 6 feet away from all other players. Water bottles and personal belongings will stay within a players bag/backpack when not in direct use by the player

  • All practice equipment will be sanitized between practice sessions.

Every family and individual is responsible for maintaining the safest practice environment possible. If a player does not feel well, or is showing symptoms, they are expected to stay home from practice.

Madison Starlings will follow recommendations from Dane County Public Health Department with regards to quarantine time for individuals receiving positive test results and/or individuals known to have close contact with someone who later tested positive. Please refer to the most current public health recommendations when navigating issues related to COVID-19.

Thank you in advance for doing everything in your power to keep our Madison Starlings family safe and healthy.

Thank you for your patience during these times, and thank you for being a part of the Madison Starlings!
