NOKIA TEAM HELPS OUT NEW SAN DIEGO PREUSS TEAM

As part of the new U.C. San Diego partnership, Tod Mattox (Starlings Coaching Director)  developed a new pilot program in 2003 at The Preuss School (magnet school of U.C. San Diego). A 14s team was formed with Tod and Teacher/Coach, Robert Reyes, of Preuss.

In March 2003, one of the top 18s club teams in the nation, Nokia of Sunwest Volleyball Club, volunteered to spend a Saturday to instruct the younger girls from Preuss.

In 2004, the program at Preuss will expand to 2 Starlings teams.
