Two of Brevard County's talented young players Shamiah Richardson (left) and Andrea Delcher put their skills learned at Starlings to the test as they tried out for the Florida Region High Performance team for their age bracket. This was just the first round of tryouts at Daytona Beach, reports Brevard Director Fred Howell. There will be three more High Performance tryouts coming up in different locations, after which, players will hear back about their status, and a fourth tryout of finalists will be held. "It's intense," says Howell, "and both of the young ladies want to try out for the national High Performance team."

All of us in the Starlings community are rooting Shamiah and Andrea. Their drive toward a higher level and their hard work is extremely impressive and admirable. Best of luck to these ambitious young athletes!
